Here we are again at the beginning of a new term. The Juniors will arrive on Sunday, ironing boards in tow, followed shortly by the Inters and Seniors to be ready to start 0600 Monday morning!  Hopefully with our late Indian Summer they should find the weather kinder to them this year.  I hope that you have all been able to get tickets for the ABF Music on Fire event 22 - 24 Sept - this will be truely fantastic and a night to remember.

Leadership Encounter Evening - Tuesday 12 September.  This event has already had a very positive uptake due, I am sure, to the interesting title in dealing with 'Followership'.  There is still time to sign up - please see below. 

I am delighted that Dr John Taylor has agreed to speak at the next Encounter on his studies into 'Followership' - the title of the talk is 'Every Leader Needs A Follower'.  Much, has been written about the nature and practice of leadership, but a great deal of that has focused on the qualities, behaviours and development of the leader.  This talk will turn the issue around and focus on the followers.  All leaders need followers, but who the followers are, and how they operate, may have important consequences for the leaders.  Please click >>here for further details on Dr Taylor and click >>here to sign up.  You are always welcome to bring as many guests as you like.

Wine Tasting Evening - in conjunction with ESS, The Foundation will be holding a Wine Tasting Evening on Wed 22 Nov - just in time to stock up for Christmas.  Further details and how to join will be on a Newsletter Flash this month.

Annual General Meeting - Our first AGM will be held prior to the second Leadership Encounter Evening next term on Tues 7 November.  The agenda will be attached to the above Newsletter Flash.  I hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend.

Commandant's Parade - The Commandant's Parade in August was an excellent day.  The King of Jordan took the parade and Intake 37 Reunion had 125 former OCdts watching.  They all said what a fantastic day they had had and how many memories it had brought back.

Date for your Diary - after the success of the Inaugural Foundation Dinner Night in June, we have booked next year's on Saturday 28 July.  Further details will be out before Christmas but please put this date in your diary - how about making a Reunion Table?

On the move - as with all decorating jobs there has been a delay but we hope to me moving in a weeks time.  I will put an email out to let all our members know that the office will be closed for that week inorder to move and relocate all the IT and phone lines.

A Trip to St Cyr - Geoffrey Farrell, a Foundation Member, would like to hear from any other members who would be keen to go and visit the French Military Academy at St Cyr in Brittany.  He is very happy to organise this trip.
