Dear ,
We are very pleased to announce that the King of Bahrain has kindly agreed to be The Foundation's Patron. This is really an hounour not only to the Alumni but also to the whole Academy and we are all extremely grateful. King Hamed was a cadet at the Academy in 1968, before completing his officer training at Mons. The most important result of His Majesty's generous patronage has been that we can now reduce the membership fee from its current £32 to just £10 per year; a figure that we hope will encourage everyone trained at Sandhursts to become a member. This discount will start on 01 January 2008 when all direct debits will be reduced to £10. Please do not forgot our AGM is next month, Tues 6 Nov, held at 1700hrs in the Wellington Room. This is directly before the Leadership Encounter Evening which starts at 1800hrs (please see below for further details). We really would like as many members as possible to attend. Please put next year's Foundation Dinner Night in your diary - 17 May - the more the merrier!
