Leadership Encounter Evening - Tuesday 12 September. I am delighted that Dr John Taylor has agreed to speak at the next Encounter on his studies into 'Followership' - the title of the talk is 'Every Leader Needs A Follower'. Much, has been written about the nature and practice of leadership, but a great deal of that has focused on the qualities, behaviours and development of the leader. This talk will turn the issue around and focus on the followers. All leaders need followers, but who the followers are, and how they operate, may have important consequences for the leaders. Please click >>here for further details on Dr Taylor and click >>here to sign up. You are always welcome to bring as many guests as you like. Rhythm Force - This unique event is being held at Kneller Hall on Thursday 14 September. All the bands are part of the Corps of Army Music but instead of the normal Marches being played it will be Jazz, Blues, Rock, Pop and much more. The event is free to all Foundation members and up to four guests. The evening starts at 1900 and tickets can be purchased from Liz Evans on 0208 744 8608 - please let her know you are a Foundation member. Wine Tasting Evening - in conjunction with ESS, The Foundation will be holding Wine Tasting Evening on Wed 22 Nov - just in time to stock up for Christmas. Details will appear on a seperate email next week. Annual General Meeting - Our first AGM will be held prior to the second Leadership Encounter Evening next term on Tues 7 November. The agenda will be attached to the next Newsletter. I hope that as many of you as possible will be able to attend. Date for your Diary - after the success of the Inaugural Foundation Dinner Night in June, we have booked next year's on Saturday 28 July. Further details will be out before Christmas but please put this date in your diary - how about making a Reunion Table? On the move - at last the end is in sight. We have been keen to move out of our rather small office into a much larger flat at the end of the corridor for some time now but needed to aquire the funding. The flat is being painted as we talk and we hope to be able to officially open the offices at the next Leadership Encounter evening on the 12 September - we might even have bubbles!
